The program makes available information of the official topographical maps from the entire territory of the Federal Republic of Germany in various graphical windows and executes different coordinate transformations and map data calculations. Maps can be found by place names, community keys, coordinates, map names or map numbers. Or they can be selected from overview graphics or control files. The program is network compatible.

Is useful in topography for representing and editing 3D points (by 3DPOLY, SPLINE OR BLOCK entities) and for triangulation, isolines, cross sections and longitudinal profile. It exists a modifiable library for codes and BLOCKs. The coordinates, the code and the position (in 3DPOLY or SPLINE) of the points can be modified interactively. RCAD 1.7 core provides OpenGL real-time orbit, pan, zoom, shading and lighting.

A volume of data with map names, map numbers, corner coordinates and completing data of all official topographic maps of the Federal Republic of Germany. TK25: Data base table with data of the maps on a scale 1:25000. TK50: Table with data of the maps on a scale 1:50000. TK100: Table with data of the maps on a scale 1:100000. TK200: Table with data of the maps on a scale 1:200000 (TKUe200, General map).

TRIANGULATION performs triangulation of a set of 3D points width compulsory interconnections. ISOLINES determines the curves of intersection of a set of 3DFACE entities width a set of plane equidistances horizontally or vertically. VOLUME determines volume and center of gravity of a body limited by 3DMESH and 3DFACE entities. 3DINTERSECTION determines the intersection curves between 2 sets consisting of 3DFACE or 3DMESH entities.
